Peer Mediators

Peer Mediators are Year 6 children who have been trained to resolve everyday pupil conflict. They play a key role keeping play times happy. 

The Play Leader Team is coordinated by Mrs Ward (PE Teacher). Among the recent initiatives introduced by our Peer Mediators are:

• The Friendship Benches
• Lunchtime Cards for pupils having regular problems
• The ‘Worry Boxes’

Play Leaders

Play Leaders are Year 6 pupils who volunteer to organise play times for the younger children.

With Key Stage 2 children this could be refereeing sports like football or netball or helping to supervise the Trim Trail.

With the Key Stage 1 children, this could be playing the old fashioned, but still much-loved, games like “What time is it Mr Wolf” or “The Farmer’s in his den”.

Play Leaders make a big difference to our school, by keeping playtimes happy and busy.
